LIMA, NY, (1/3/08)
-
Bristol ID Technologies, a manufacturer of custom plastic cards and
a distributor of badging systems, has named Herbert J. Ego as VP of
Sales and Marketing.
"We are pleased to have a successful entrepreneur with a proven
track record in sales and marketing leading Bristol ID's efforts to
grow our top line," said CEO Keith Yeates. "Herb's new role at
Bristol is part of a company growth strategy focused on capturing a
bigger piece of the gift and loyalty card market and complements the
recent investment in new plant equipment."
Since 2006, Ego has been CEO of Go-Global Consulting, a company he
formed to provide international business development expertise to
local manufacturers looking to expand to overseas markets.
Prior to that Ego founded his own biotech manufacturing company,
Biocube, Inc. As CEO, he guided the company through start-up, debt
and equity funding, technology development, and business
development. After five years of double digit growth, he sold the
business to BIOREM Technologies.
Prior to starting Biocube, Ego was vice president and general
manager of Graver Technologies' Industrial Filtration Division
(formerly Consler Filtration). As director of sales and marketing,
Ego and his team doubled the size of the company from $5 million to
$10 million.
In the early part of his career, Ego spent 13 years in sales and
marketing positions at Eastman Kodak Company. He holds a bachelor's
degree in Marketing from St. Bonaventure University and an MBA from
Rochester Institute of Technology. |
