Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Position Objective / Summary: The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all production and facility equipment:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and plant facilities
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair/ replacement of production machines
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
  • Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving, and manipulating materials
  • Use control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines
  • Communicate and coordinate with outside contractors such as tooling companies, electrical contractors, and HVAC contractors.
  • Record information according to established policies and procedures
  • Comply with all safety regulations
  • Operates any equipment needed to perform job
  • Aid in facility cleanliness; interior and exterior
  • Performs related duties as needed by supervision
  • Makes recommendations for process improvement

  • 4+ years manufacturing experience
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
  • Familiarity with all product lines
  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, or lift for long periods of time
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day

  • Ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical manufacturing environment
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another during the production process
  • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors
