Production Planner

 

Job Title: Production Planner

Reports to: Planning & Inventory Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Position Objective / Summary: The Production Planner performs all tasks involved in the coordination and flow of work and materials

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Calculates required amounts of labor and materials
  • Review and make necessary changes to previously established jobs as required for reprinting
  • Prepares work orders for new and repeat orders
  • Assist in maintaining inventories of raw materials to meet production needs
  • Interface with Shipping & Receiving Team Leader to schedule courier pickups and deliveries to local vendors
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, customer service representatives, and sales account managers on job status, ship dates, and other pertinent information
  • Receive and issue finished goods into database
  • Complete and maintain all paperwork, records, documents, etc. associated with the work order
  • Performs related duties as needed by supervision
  • Makes recommendations for process improvement

 Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of Associate’s degree or experience equivalent in a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
