Job Title: Sales Support

Reports to: Sales Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Position Objective / Summary: The Sales Support partners with the Sales Manager to address customer needs and ensure effective and long-term customer loyalty by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Handles common customer inquiries via phone and e-mail (i.e. order status, tracking information, problem resolution, etc.)
  • Enters orders into the computer and may print shipping documents
  • Receives and follows up with customer concerns
  • Confers with other departments to adjust in-house orders as needed
  • Processes customer orders / changes according to established department policies and procedures
  • Processes customer returns according to established department policies and procedures
  • Acts as company point of contact for post-sales activities
  • Performs related duties as needed by supervision
  • Makes recommendations for process improvement

  • Must be familiar with all product lines and customer base
  • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- both written and verbal
  • Customer service experience with a manufacturer and/or business-to-business sales preferred
  • Experience using MS Office, Great Plains, Microsoft CRM preferred
  • Professional appearance and presentation required
  • Exceptional organization skills and keen attention to detail
  • Type without errors 40 wpm

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
